Welcome to my personal website
I am an economics Professor who writes, researches and teaches on economic and environmental interactions. My main interests are interdisciplinary research on human behaviour and environmental values. Subject areas within which I have worked include: ecological economics, environmental and resource economics, applied ethics, social psychology, atmospheric science and plant science.
- Science Leader within the Sustainable Ecosystems Division of the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia.
- Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Values published by White Horse Press.
- Co-editor of Environment & Planning C: Government & Policy published by Pion, 1998—2007.
- Former President of the European Society for Ecological Economics (ESEE).
- Lead author of article in the top ten most cited papers in Ecological Economics ( Influential publications in ecological economics: A citations analysis, Oct 2004).
- Author of the acclaimed interdisciplinary book on climate change Greenhouse Economics: Value and Ethics.
- Co-author of the best selling textbook Cost Benefit Analysis and the Environment.
- Author of over 100 published works.
Established in 2006, this website aims to bring together and preserve in one location materials relating to various aspects of my work. Besides listing publications there are various downloads, many free, of materials which might otherwise be difficult to obtain (e.g. grey literature, discussion papers, research reports and book reviews). Links have been provided to publishers' websites where downloads may also be obtained.
